9Round’s New Partners Help You Save on Fitness

At 9Round, we’re always looking for ways to help make fitness more accessible and affordable for our members. Today, we’re excited to announce two new partnerships with Dr. B and Truemed, two leaders in healthcare and wellness, that will help our members take full advantage of their HSA/FSA benefits to cover the cost of their 9Round memberships.

Eligible members can conveniently access online consultations via these telehealth platforms with no appointment necessary. Shortly after they complete the consultation, a licensed practitioner will review their information.

If they qualify, they’ll receive a Letter of Medical Necessity, which can be submitted to their HSA/FSA provider to begin the reimbursement process for fitness expenses. After that, members simply submit their receipts for eligible fitness expenses to their HSA/FSA provider for reimbursement.

“We are proud to continue breaking down barriers to fitness with innovative solutions like this,” said Shannon “The Cannon” Hudson, CEO and Founder of 9Round. “By working with Dr. B and Truemed, we’re making it easier for our members to invest in their health and stay consistent with their workouts.

WHAT IS AN HSA/FSA?

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) are both tax-advantaged savings options that allow you to set aside pre-tax money for qualified medical expenses. This can save you up to 30% on fitness membership costs.

An HSA is typically available if you have a high-deductible health plan, while an FSA is often offered through an employer. Both accounts can be used to cover a wide range of healthcare costs, including doctor visits, prescriptions, and even fitness memberships, making it easier to invest in your overall health and wellness.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I QUALIFY

No matter which platform you choose, you will follow the same simple steps:

  1. Complete a quick and convenient online consultation.

  1. If you qualify, you'll receive a Letter of Medical Necessity.

  1. You can submit this letter and receipts for eligible expenses to your HSA/FSA provider to get reimbursed.
